A little about me..

I started my career journey as an aspiring actress, young model and drama student from Perth, Western Australia. My adventurous spirit and passion for the Arts, Fashion all things Beauty, and being in-front of the camera, led my career overseas in my early teens where I become a working model from a very young age, with a modelling career that has now spanned 35 years. From the convent to the Catwalk! And on to live and work in New York, NY and from there I never looked back! I was working all over the world and honing my acting skills at top-tier institutions in both the USA and Australia and building my portfolio and career across fashion meccas such as New York, London, Tokyo, Singapore, Hong Kong, Sydney, and Melbourne, marked by successful partnerships with illustrious brands and networks, including Tropfest, ABC, Foxtel, MTV UK, CH 10, and high-profile projects and campaigns with Virgin, Lavazza, Kit Kat, Smirnoff, Woman’s Day, New Idea, AFI, Mattel, Reebok, Nike and Richard Branson have added to the rich tapestry.

Living my dreams out loud and proudly featuring in Brand advertising, campaigns, editorials, catalogues, cinema ads, television commercials and billboards for iconic brands and networks and working alongside and for prestigious global clients and trailblazers that make up the industry. Whilst forging a successful career in front of the camera as I expanded into broadcast media in film and television.

There’s no doubt that my roots in modelling and the Arts are the gifts that keep on giving and the pivotal platform and foundation for which everything else in my career has been built. I’m forever grateful for this wonderful opportunity and to continue doing what I love and collaborating with the amazingly talented people in the related industries.

A passionate career working behind the camera has evolved and ensued over the years as well and been a natural evolution for me. I Founded my Production Company Byte Size Beauty Media so I could write and produce my own original content and speak directly to my audience on all platforms and share my messages in the Beauty, Health, Food & Lifestyle space. It was the constant curiosity in my routines and how I care for my own skin and body that led me to create my Beauty & Skincare brand DK Beauty, which launched at the Beauty Expo in Australia and also in the UK. This was a thrilling experience and I was very proud to showcase my Australian Made skincare with 11 Indidual unisex DK skincare products and 6 curated skincare packs for specific skin conditions and post cosmetic surgery care.

I absolutely love the entire process of formulating and being hands on. With the DK range I was formulating with a renowned chemist in Ballina NSW who worked with Jurilique and Aveda. I learnt so much from that experience.

I have been making my own natural skincare since I was a young girl and always believed Real beauty is rooted in good health. This ethos and philosophy is echoed through everytbing I do and create, whether it’s through my media, physical products or the services I offer. The philosophy and ethos are always the same and my message is consistent through my Skincare and Brands, Coaching, Ebooks, Cookbook, TV Show, Online Media, Radio Show, Doco and a Feature Film are a all part of my ever expanding portfolio driven by my passion for sharing a healthy approach to Beauty.

Working behind the camera as well as a freelance Creative Director, Executive Producer and Film Director with my unique 360 perspective drawn from my own experience as a model and ‘talent’ in front of the camera for most of my adult life, is a wonderful insight to utilise behind the camera and when ‘on-set’ or working with my clients in fashion, beauty, lifestyle and broadcast media entertainment and bringing their ideas to life!

A lifelong passion for health, fitness, cooking, and making my own skincare and beauty products and ancient remedies at home has served me well and has given my career longevity in front of the camera and others are always curious about my diet and beauty regimen so I created my Collagen Skin Gym program and Donna King’s Beauty Kitchen to enrich the lives of others and share my wholesome approach to beauty, diet and anti-aging with tried and true formulas and ancient remedies, wisdoms and therapies that really work! Along with my model tips and tricks and glow rituals picked up along the way working with the best in the business.

I love old-school beauty, glamour, fashion, cooking, art, collecting books especially cookbooks, old movies and romance. Maybe this side of myself is down to my Italian heritage which gives me a deep desire to keep old traditions alive. But these are complicated times for us modern gals with old-school values and traditions, it’s the paradox of my life.

When I’m not working you’ll find exploring the city and eating out, shopping, admiring old architecture and heritage buildings. I especially love churches and cathedrals. Im a longtime devotee of yoga and Tai Chi and work with crystals, sound bowls, and I meditate. Im not a gym girl. But when I want to get my blood pumping, I go hiking, beach combing, swimming, and love to pack my backpack and follow a forrest trail somewhere, ironically it’s where I find myself. I just love immersing myself in the beauty of Mother Nature 🦋Oh I love animals too! I Especially love dogs, they are my absolute favourite. (don’t tell my cat)
